Allieds Assemble

It takes a village

At Western Health, Allied Health practitioners are an essential part of the care we provide to our ever-growing community: continuous, comprehensive care at every stage of life.

As one of our Allied Health practitioners, no two days will ever be the same. You’ll be working across a variety of settings, such as Sunshine Hospital (with its newly-expanded $34.9 million Emergency Department); the Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s facility; Williamstown Hospital; and the fantastic new $1.5 billion Footscray Hospital set to open in 2025.

You’ll be interacting with seasoned clinicians from every discipline and helping patients from all walks of life. Ours is one of the most unique and diverse communities in Australia – and we want your skills to help provide the ongoing, life-changing care it needs.

Whether you’re a new graduate or an experienced professional, Western Health will give you the opportunities, space and support you need to shape your career into what you always dreamed it could be.

Our multi-disciplinary Allied Health teams are deployed across a vast range of settings, all over Melbourne’s west. You’ll get to use your expertise in diverse areas such as acute inpatient care, newborns, paediatrics, aged care, rehab and emergency, as well as home- and community-based services. You’ll encounter people and medical scenarios you’d never experience in private practice. And if you are an early career clinician, then you’ll get to drill down and perfect your skills through a range of development programs and learning opportunities as you prepare to advance your scope of practice

Western Health prides itself on the diversity, empathy, and excellence of its staff. We take care of our own just as much as we take care of the community we serve. If you’re wondering where to find your people – the ones who will help you learn, help you grow, and help you be the best you can be – then we’ve got good news. They’re already here.
